Hello and welcome to the Ysgol Morgan Llwyd PTA page!
Our PTA is group of parents and teachers dedicated to raising money for the school to purchase things that can make a big difference to your child’s education and school experience. Here you will find some information regarding the work of the PTA and how you can help!
The PTA, although less active than in a primary school is always on the lookout for enthusiastic parents, guardians or family members that want to make a difference and offer a helping hand. The PTA meets on a termly basis to discuss school news, fundraising ideas and to organise the next fundraising event.
Over the years the PTA has raised funds to help purchase items such as iPads, dressmaking dummies, kitchen equipment and much more! The PTA has also part funded the school minibus, which ensures transport to and from the school for sixth formers and is used for extracurricular activities for all pupils.
Our fundraisers in the past have included Welcome Discos for the new Year 7s, Easter Bingo, Christmas Fairs, in which our last one at Ty Pawb was a huge success and Quiz Nights at the Saith Seren. We have had a 100 Club fundraiser running in the past and it would be great to see a few of these events and ideas up and running again soon. For this, we need you, as supportive family, and friends of the Ysgol Morgan Llwyd community to help make them a success!
If you are unable to commit time to the PTA but have some ideas you would like to pass forwards, please do not hesitate to contact us at YMLL-PTA15@hwbcymru.net . We would love to see some new faces and are hoping to re establish the PTA committee soon to start organising and fundraising once again.
