Year 9 to 10 Transition
Choosing GCSE option courses is an exciting as well as a very important process for our year 9 learners. Whilst some pupils will know exactly which subjects they wish to study, others will need help, guidance and inspiration. To aid our students, we have a programme of events and activities that includes presentations for pupils and parents, career workshops and much more (please see the Options Calendar). Pupils wil complete two options forms; the first will be an open choice, mainly to decide which options will run and which ones will be duplicated. The three option columns are then formed and pupils will be asked to complete a second form, this time choosing one option from each column. We aim to start the GCSE courses in the last half term of year 9.
